Handloom weavers often face significant challenges in storing their finished products. Exposure to rain, termites, and bad odors can severely damage the quality of their woven items, leading to financial loss and frustration. Traditional storage solutions are inadequate in providing the necessary protection. Unique Features
Weatherproof Construction is used to withstand rain and humidity, protecting contents from water damage. Termite-resistant materials are used specially treated wood to prevent termite infestation. Odor The almirah is technology-integrated equipment to maintain freshness and prevent bad smells. The secure and Spacious almirah offers ample space for storage with secure locking mechanisms to protect against theft.
Development Process
The development of Weavers Weavebox involved a meticulous and hands-on approach by conducting a field trip to observe the weaving process live and understand the storage challenges faced by weavers. Learners acquired skills in woodworking and integrated technology to build the almirah. The Designing and Prototyping began with creating initial designs and prototypes, followed by testing and refinement based on user feedback.
